The reinforced concrete house surrounded by the forest is bathed in sunlight, with tree shadows dancing rhythmically within the space. This house, with its commercial architectural exterior, harbors an extremely minimalist and ethereal interior space. It enjoys the gifts of nature, resembling an independent architectural entity, untouched by the hustle and bustle of the world.
The designer regards the house made of reinforced concrete as a part of nature and thus erects an architectural dwelling in this realm. Inside the interior space, he creates independent architectural entities, while beyond this space lies the vast universe of stars. This is about embedding architecture into nature, rather than merely decorating the space.
In the minimalist space characterized by structuralism, there are only man-made architectural structures and the sense of volume created by the mass of blocks. These structures create areas for natural light to fall upon. Subsequently, the designer casually applies a layer of grayish-white hue to the walls, floors, and ceilings. Standing in this "dynamic" space, one can quietly observe the passage of time and feel the gentle sway of tree shadows in the breeze.
The junction of the white and gray floors extends the boundaries, transitioning the space from a grayish-white palette to a gray-toned scene. The exposed beam structures enclose the entire space in a sequential manner, with a "water" flower blooming at the center, reflecting the fleeting nature of time and the passage of sunlight.
Mirror flowers and moon in water, flowers in the mirror and moon on the water—they are beautiful and inconceivable, as if dancing gracefully within the space, ethereal and elusive. This visual experience of illusion and ethereality inevitably evokes many beautiful aspirations. In terms of design, windows are used to connect with nature, incorporating this sense of comfort as part of the interior decoration.
As time flows, the natural light, refracted through mirrors, paints a variety of different scenes. It may bring small surprises and romances to life, serving as an indispensable sense of ritual in daily routines.
At dawn, with the swaying tree shadows and the blue hue brought by the rising sun, a day of comfort begins. In a state of ethereality and trance, one can temporarily entrust their five senses to the space, feeling its structure, material, form, texture, and temperature, and silently listening to this peaceful overture of space.
